Let's be nice!
My friend Stacey at Elle Belle blogged about my dish ran away with the spoon towel I made for her daughter elle. Could that kitchen be any freakin' cuter??
I so appreciate it when other crafters/artisans have nice things to say about my work. I may not have 100 people comment on my blog but to have that tiny bit of recognition always brightens my day. Kristi is always checking out my stuff on flickr and on my blog. She has gotten quite the huge following now, but still always is super sweet to me.
I have done some comments on Melissa's flickr pics and she has started a blog called Operation Nice and I love the idea of this blog. She has gotten some recognition from Daily Candy and big paper in Philly. The whole blog is about being kind and nice. We can all use a bit more of this in our lives.
Here are some pics of the last things I have completed. I am planning on crafting all day Saturday.
I am going to see "Rent" on Sunday with my sister. We are both HUGE Rent fans and Rent has sadly gone off Broadway and they taped the final performance with the original Broadway cast. I am not sure if the original cast is performing the last show or it they are just there. My sister and I were lucky enough to see the original Broadway cast in 1996. I can't wait but I really need the time to get stuff done for my two shows.
This pic is a rough draft of the one we are going to have run in skirt.
This is the one I am planning with Stacey

A whole lotta blog..
Hi all,
I just had a great write up on Urban Threads about my Ninja Bag
It was super nice of Niamh to talk about me on her blog. She allows people to buy her designs and sell them. I do have my bag available on my etsy site but I love it and have very little of my own crafty goodness.
Niamh thanks for the terrific write-up and I will have to make more of your great designs.

Been Slacking
We have been trying so hard to get things in motion for Handmade Holiday Bazaar that I have been slacking on crafting ( I did get some accomplished this weekend) and blogging.
Anywho Dan's friend came in from England on Monday, his plane got cancelled on England on Sunday so we were all exhauted Monday night and went to bed at 8:30 pm. Last night I was able to finish the witch towel below. I think it turned out cute. I need to take pics. I did borrow my dad's camera to take pics and noticed a huge difference.

Look at the close-up of the ninja if I was to take this pic with my camera it wouls have been all blurry.

Dad's camera too.
I always spent my money on a manual camera and didn't get my first digital until 2003 and it was kinda crappy. I need to get a better one but for the time being I will borrow my dads.
I will try and write more this week, it's a goal to attain.

Craft Ninja Canvas Bag
I lovemy new craft bag. I think I shall carry it everywhere with me. I do need to get some new needles at Joann's because I lost them in the abyss of a sofa I craft upon.
I just figured out what a good camera can do with a macro button. I so need to get my dad's camera or borrow it forever. I will post pics of it when he gets back into town.
Tonight Stacey and I are putting the finishing touches on the show we are putting together and I am so freakin excited to get it underway. We finally agreed upon a name. I think I was frustrating her immensely.
You will have to wait and see...

Busy Weekend
Hi all,
I was super busy this weekend crafting and running errands. The days sometimes at work seem so long and yet on the weekend when I could actually use the time it seems as though I have 1/2 the time I need.
I am working on a great tote bag, I thought I would have gotten it completed this weekend but I didn't.
Here are some pics of my WIP tote (it's the back) and the thing I did get accopmlished over this weekend.
A lot of people have been asking about backs or works so I am going to try and take them when I remember. This guys has about 2 more hours til he is done.
Stacey and I are getting together to do most of the final planning for the prep for Handmade Holiday Bazaar. I am looking very forard to it!

Handmade Holiday Bazaar
I'm really excited to announce that I've partnered with a friend of mine, Stacey of ElleBelle, and Fiberologie to organize, create, and host the first ever Handmade Holiday Bazaar!
There'll be lots more details to come, but for now, mark your calendars for Sunday Nov. 9th and plan to come by Fiberologie to check out some of Tampabay's best crafters and get a jump on that holiday shopping!

Favorite Color........hint it isn't black..
This is for the etsybloggers blog carnival for the month of September....(I am trying to make sure I follow all of the rules). We were supposed to write pick a favorite color, and show it in your work so here goes nothing..
Oh I love silver! I wish I could use it more or wear it more but I do not think dresses in silver or tops are really very tame for the workplace. I would have to say that is my favorite. People that know me would say that Black is my favorite color because well I almost wear it everyday.
Here is my silver purse I got for my b-day.. I <3 it so much!
In my work which is hand embroidery I have only found some sparkly silver with black thread from Sublime Stitching. The other silver thread from Joann's has a tendency to snag and then split when washed. I would use it much more often if it actually stayed together.
I do like to use a lot of blue and greens together in my work as well.
Going through my flickr pics I would say white is used the most often. I guess cause it is easy to see and stitch on and maybe cause it can be gender neutral??

Featured Blogger on EtsyBlogger
Hi All,
Here is a great shop on etsy! The shop is Joey & Aleethea and they have great kids stuff.
She's having a HUGE Sale Sept. 1st & 2nd with 20% OFF everything in her shop PLUS she's got 2 Giveaways going on too!
The Muscle Car baby lounge is super cute and perfect for daddys to take with them everywhere!
The Sunday Best Onesie and Diaper for all fancy occasions.
I love love love this bib. James Bond baby style. This is perfect for everday or for special occasions like weddings/bar mitsvahs/paties..etc.
I think is is fantastic when there are cute boys items. I think when you go to a department store it is so much easier to find adorable girl clothes and the sections are 3 or 4 times the size than the baby boy sections. Joey and Aleethea hit the nail on the head with adorable boy and girl items.
So check out Joey and Aleethea for her sale September 1 and 2 and her blog for her fab giveaways!
What are you still doing here? Go check out the site!!
